It will allow you to choose your halftone size, angle, dot shape and control the ink density. Printfab RIP has almost all the same features as our competitors at fraction of the cost. We are also including our proprietary Printfab custom profiles. We have bundled a new Epson WF7210 along with our refillable UV blocking ink kit, 100 sheet pack of 13x19 and a full license of Prinfab Rip. It’s never been this easy or more affordable to own a dedicated inkjet film printer for film output WITH a RIP software. Right now I just send the film through the printer twice and that seems to make it a solid enough black for our screenprinter, but it just seems to waste so much ink.Film Direct is excited to now offer the Epson WF7210 with RIP software. I can't really go higher on the droplet weight because the ink doesn't dry fast enough and it's gotten on some of the rollers and just made a huge mess. I have cleaned the printing heads 4 times in the last month, we have replaced all the tanks and I have even messed with the AccuRIP settings, changing the print Resolution from 720 DPI x 720 DPI to 1440 DPI x 720 DPI with a droplet weight of 11 and the shit is still coming out streaked. The problem we've been having all of the sudden is the ink is coming out streaky there are distinct lines in everything we are printing and the images aren't burning or washing out of the screen as easily as they should. We have 6 black ink tanks in the printer and we use AccuRIP to print straight from Illustrator. Okay, we have an Artisan 1430 that we use to print our films. If your post doesn't post, message a mod. Hey I'm new to this, what type of ink do you guys suggest I start with and what are the differences in types of inks? Please refrain from posts that ask across-the-board questions. No matter what your skill level, whether you are a beginner who can't register a single image to a blank sheet of paper or a print god who yawns and lays down a four-color halftone perfectly with no hinge clamps or registration marks, there are ALWAYS questions.
